Overview

1, Pick you up from your hotel either in the morning at 9am or in the afternoon at 2pm. then the bicycle tour will start from your hotel area.
2, You will cycle around the second ring road ( which was said as the ancient city wall but had taken place by the modern roads today), you will cycle through the old hutong district in Beijing, visiting the lama temple, imperial academy street, and stop by the wudaoying hutong to take some rest and drinks.
3, Then you will restart and head for the drum and bell tower square where you could join the local people for some activity, for example: writing the ground calligraphy, watching the crickets fighting, playing the shuttlecock and so on, you will visit the tobacco-pipe hutong to experience some knock-off street shopping, then to Houhai lakeside hutong to feel how the local people spend their with friends at leisure time in the local bars.
4, you will bike to Jingshan park and Changan avenue to see the chairman's office.
5,Back to your hotel.

What Can You Expect?

It is a 4-hour bicycle tour along the second ring road of beijing to explore the real Beijing in a different way.
We will start from your hotel with the bike ready before that, then we will cycling to see 800-year old ancient beijing Hutong district: the wudaoying hutong - the lama temple - the imperial academy street - the drum and bell tower square - the residential hutongs for the real local beijingers - the Houhai lakeside hutongs - tobacco pipe hutongs - the jingshan park ( charcoal hill)to enjoy a panoramic view of the city ) - the Changan avenue (the number one avenue of China) - China chairman's working office ( "White House" of China ).
You will not only just cycling, we will be able to stop by some spot for a drink or a piece of snack as well as explore the local knock-off street shops. we will be able to visit some authentic local parks and squares where you could chat and join with the local people for some activities if that interests you.

We had great time with our guide Jenny through the biking tour in Beijing. We love cycling so we came up with the idea of having a bike tour. Jenny presented us a unique Pekin through cycling along the Changan avenue, drum and bell tower Hutongs, Imperial academy street, Ming dynasty city wall. We even stopped by to visit the lama temple inside, and climbed up to the charcoal hill for enjoying a panoramic view of downtown Beijing. We were amazed by the wonderful view of forbidden city right under the charcoal hill. We also stopped by a local café in Hutong just for a break and chitchat. The cycling was only 4 hours but we felt like we have learnt a lot about Beijing. If you are looking for an authentic tour that is away from the hustle and bustle, this bike tour is 100% recommended to you from our experience.
