Visit: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China

Walk through Tian'anmen (adorned with the famous portrait of Mao Zedong), as emperors did, to the highlight of the day, the Forbidden City. Marvel at the splendid architecture, and feel the majesty of the emperor's imperial stronghold. The Forbidden City was home to 24 emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties from 1420 to 1912. After sufficiently soaking it all in, wander inside the Palace Museum to experience the Forbidden City, and imagine what life was like for emperors centuries ago.

The process was simple, all you needed was the passport you booked the ticket(s) with. For me this included the entry ticket to the Forbidden City as well as both the Treasure Gallery and the Clock/Watch Gallery.

We booked and paid four tickets to the Forbidden City with La Vacanza Travel online. The confirmation came and everything looked right. When it was time for the visit, we would start by picking up the tickets. Then all of a sudden there were only three??? La Vacanza Travel could not repair this failure by getting the missing ticket #4. We had all been looking forward to this visit but since the whole family could not go together we had to leave. Very disappointed and facing the fact that it is not possible to trust Viatour booking your tickets.
