Our tour guide was waiting for us outside our hotel earlier than expected which was a plus. He was one of the nicest guides we’ve ever had with a wealth of information and who truly seemed to enjoy his job. We spent just enough time at each stop so we really enjoyed our day. Highly recommend this tour.

This is a day of exploring the hidden treasures of the Cotswolds down tiny country lanes and into small villages full of rich historical treasures, which are still so peaceful and unaffected. It's also a tour which gives you time to breathe it all in, by taking a stroll here, and stopping for a cuppa there. We were looked after by the wonderful Jules who has both the personal knowledge and historical depth to give us a wonderful overview of both times past and the here and now. Book it; you won't regret it.

My family had two great days with Max on two different tours. Max was knowledgeable, personable, and very considerate. Our group included ages 21 to 84 and Max made sure everyone was able to have a great time. We also enjoyed the company's curated approach to tours. It really gave us a chance to appreciate and explore some surprising and profound things about this part of England that we would have missed otherwise.

We spent a week in the UK without renting a car and this trip was absolutely the highlight. Jules was a fabulous host and very knowledgeable about the history of the area and of the early formation of what is now the UK. We visited several ridiculously picturesque little villages including Castle Combe and Malmesbury. The Malmesbury Abbey was especially interesting with portions of the exterior being filled with pock-marks from musket shot taken during the English civil war. You will also be surprised by what is considered a two-way road in the Cotswolds! I was really glad Jules was driving and not me!

Max was a great tour guide showing the different types of architecture as he pointed out the old and new charming stone houses and the thatched roof cottages. We enjoyed a late morning tea where he gave a history lesson going from pre-Roman to Norman times. We toured a couple of churches and some pretty villages and had a nice walk through a sheep-filled meadow (watch your step). All in all it was a pleasant day that made us want to come back for a longer visit.
