We're a quirky Georgian townhouse across 3 floors and a favourite hangout for those wanting to enjoy an experience while within a smart independent space so hidden even most locals don't know it exists

What Can You Expect?

The Drawing Rooms is a smart, quirky and hidden away venue across 3 floor of a Georgian townhouse right in the centre of Bath. During the week we're a boutique member's club but at the weekend we open our doors as a hub for smart hen groups for great coffee, the best photo opportunities around our quirky decor- and lots of group masterclasses.

Our cocktail making sessions are designed to feel very personal and make you feel really looked after. Your experience will start before you even arrive- our bar manager will call you and discuss which three of our cocktails you'd like to make on the day, and find out any requirements your group may have.

On arrival you'll be greeted by your host and offered a Belini to start, while being shown to your room to meet your mixologist. They will start with an introduction to the bar tools, techniques and the secret ratios behind all cocktails.

Then you'll be off, watching how the drinks are made, making your own cocktails and playing fun games along the way. After you finish your session with as many photos as you want, you'l be welcome to stay and enjoy a drink or some food in our venue - or even return later for our piano bar night.

Eight of us attended the cocktail masterclass for a hen party activity. Unfortunately our experience was disappointing. We are a group that make the best of all situations and know how to make our own fun and sadly this experience did not meet up to our expectations or even what was supposed to be offered to us. On arrival we were taken to a room that looked like it had been put together last minute, the carpet was dirty, there was a table in the middle with a dirty cloth over it, and there were extension leads everywhere. We didn’t get offered a Bellini on arrival as stated on the description. We were asked beforehand what we wanted to make and chose a pornstar martini, strawberry daiquiri and a mojito. We couldn’t make the strawberry daiquiri because they didn’t have any strawberries, so made a sex on the beach instead. When we were making the mojito we were asked to use the mint sparingly because the boss forgot to buy mint. We sent through a photo of the groom to add to our martini as an extra and this hadn’t arrived. The food was poor, we had a bowl of salad but no cutlery to eat it with, half a wrap, a slice of bruschetta, one bowl of nachos for eight, one very small chicken skewer and a shop bought cupcake. We feel that for £35 per person this experience was a bad one. It felt rushed and not thought through and as though it had been pulled together last minute as an after thought. There were also random people coming (who I assume work there) coming in and out of a door in our room, maybe this was a staff room? Dunno. This is no reflection on Alfie, he tried his best, he was up for a laugh but bless him he had been brought in to do our class last minute, hadn’t worked there before, it was all just a bit bizarre really. Wouldn’t recommend.

Alfie tried his best, but we couldn't help feeling underwhelmed. Thankfully we are a group that doesn't take things too serious and make the best out of every situation, however from start to end we were disappointed. We've been to cocktail classes before and I hate to compare but it's hard not to! The photos and advertisement certainly don't match up to our experience. Low in ingredients and no photo for our cocktail (bottle of prosecco was given for the inconvenience) just felt very 'half rushed' and 'not thought through'. I'm sorry to be leaving this review but at £35 per person we felt robbed and hungry as the snack well ..... No comment!

2nd cocktail making masterclass I've been to here-this time celebrating joint Birthdays with friends. Sam led the cocktail making- great fun and thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails made! Would highly recommend for the start of a great night out!
