We had requested a tour with an emphasis on Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer. Victoria our guide was very knowledgeable and particularly good both at putting the historical context in and linking the authors with others who had written in and about Bath. She also covered the wider history for this in our party with less of an interest in literature. The tour was informative, amusing and well structured. I would highly recommend.

We had an amazing walking tour with our guide Jan. We were a group of European teachers with four languages spoken between us, but she was patient and kind and spoke with great expertise about the areas of Bath she showed us. She was also very helpful and understanding when we were a bit late after getting stuck in traffic. We still got to see all the important and interesting bits of Bath and everyone on the tour loved it. I can totally recommend this tour.

Tony was our tour guide. Jim was our contact person. On the way to Bath we got a flat tire and we were not sure if we were going to make the tour, which we did not want to miss. I called Jim who in turn contacted Tony who then sent me a text. They told me no problem just keep us updated. Well we were only about 20 minutes late and Tony waited for us and gave us our full 2 hours plus. Tony covered everything to know about Bath, which is a small town but not to be missed. We learned the history, architecture, movies that were filmed there and great walking paths along the beautiful surroundings along with places to dine. This is a definite must before starting your stay in Bath and Tony is the perfect guide full of knowledge. We always start our trips in new places with a 2-3 hour tour with a guide to get the lay of the land, which gives you the must sees and things to do, to make your trip in a new place. Do this tour, climb the steep to the top in the Abby, go to the Roman Baths and roam the streets.

Our tour guide, Andy, was fantastic showing us around Bath and explaining the history as well as mentioning the places where Bath's old buildings were used for filming. We can thoroughly recommend Bath Walking Tours.
