Santa is a good tour guide. She had lots of information to share. The ride was comfortable to and fro. The Grand Palace was chock full of tourist groups, so not a great experience. Even though I apparently failed the dress code (tight long pants), but there were females in crop tops, spaghetti strap tops, above knee dresses walking around. Maybe if we could have gone even earlier, the crowd would have been less. We were picked at 830am, and the opening is 830.

Our tour began with a pickup directly at our hotel door, unlike some other tours that may require you to travel to a pickup point somewhere else in traffic-mad Bangkok. We were greeted at our hotel by our tour guide, Eddy. Another person drove the mini-van while Eddy conducted the entire tour in perfect English. He is friendly & courteous. He is very passionate about Thai history with the amount of detail and information he pointed out to us about the history of Thailand, the old Bangkok city; the history of the Thai monarchy; the architectural designs & purposes of various buildings inside and adjacent to the Grand Palace, including some of the many ornaments and statutes that dot all around the Palace; and the history of the Emerald Buddha Temple. At the end of the tour, we were given a bttle of cold water. This was a very well planned fully guided tour. Judging from the size of the mini-van, I think the number of people is limited to about 8 participants per van. We booked the tour on the day before for 4 people.
