Overview

After departing from our hotel we will drive for approximately 2 hours via the Taurus Mountains to Ağlasun. We will visit the magnificent city of Sagalassos of the Pisidians located at 9000 feet, one of the highest Roman grand cities. The recent excavations have shed light onto some breathtaking colossal sculptures (not visible) and well preserved buildings such as the state agora, fountains, theater, baths, heroon and temples. Lunch will be in Ağlasun village. After lunch we will drive down to Antalya via the Karacaoren reservoir and return to our hotel.

After pick up from hotel we will head up the burdur which is 1,5 hour away from antalya on the way we will give a break for needs later on great sagalassos journey will start by company of your guide..all ancient city will be visited then we will visit ariassos region go to lunch and return back to Antalya by evening.

Sagalassos is a beautiful set of Roman ruins up the the mountains about 2 hours north of Antalya. The private tour with Omar was very well organized and informative. I would highly recommend it.

I normally try to travel individually but booked several trips due to short time. How lucky for me! The best travel agents I have ever used in 30 years- they do what YOU want, no selling, no gimmicks, just FANTASTIC SERVICE. Try and get 'Leo' - a lovely guy with fantastic knowledge and a genuine desire to help you enjoy the day. I will remember him - and Salagassos / Trmesson - forever - two of the greatest days in my adult life. Impossible to describe - they have to be experienced. Trust me - I have seen Jerash, Baalbeck etc - but these 2 places put them in the shade. If you love ancient Greek / Roman sites, the go to those places and you will remember them forever. Thanks also to Younnis, the Maager, another great guy who made it all possible. THANK YOU

My husband and I booked a private tour to Sagalassos, the ancient Greek, than Roman town. Though the site is still being reconstructed, it was one of the best trips I have ever been to, in this category. The site is amazing, and the whole reconstruction brings you back in time, centuries ago. Great site to visit, and great tour. The two persons in charge of the tour (one driver, one guide) were friendly and helpful. We had lunch in a traditional Turkish restaurant on our way back to Antalya, the dishes were simple and delicious, made of fresh ingredients. I do recommend the trip.
