Lead to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, known as the Grand Mosque, and one of the world’s biggest mosques. Admire the spectacular domes and minarets of this vast white marble edifice, and go inside with your guide to view the interior as you learn how the mosque can accommodate some 40,000 people.

For a fascinating sneak peek into the life of the late Sheikh Zayed, affectionately known as the 'Father of the Nation', visit the Zayed Centre in Abu Dhabi's Al Bateen district.
This museum, housed in an Emirati heritage village replete with camels, is an incredible homage to the man who shaped the nation. A photo gallery of Sheikh Zayed and many visiting regional and international royalty and dignitaries lines the walls of the museum, which is also full of personal memorabilia such as his favourite hunting rifles.
Taking centre stage are the late President's cherished vehicles - which he often drove through the city without a bodyguard - and gifts he received from all over the world such as stuffed lions and cheetahs.

A place to learn about Sheikh Zayed through art, nature, words, stories, and multimedia experiences, The Founder’s Memorial offers visitors a range of personal encounters with the late Sheikh Zayed as a man and a leader, enabling people to gain a deeper understanding of his vast influence on the UAE and the world.

Visit the Heritage village to experience the traditional aspects of the desert way of life, and immerse yourself in the time capsule that brings to life a souk, a mosque and an encampment from pre-modernized Abu Dhabi. You can shop, explore artifacts and watch artisans making pottery, blowing glass and weaving fabric on a loom.
Run by the Emirates Heritage Club, this reconstruction of a traditional oasis village provides an interesting glimpse into the emirate’s past and features public workshops where craftsmen demonstrate traditional skills such as metal work, pottery, weaving and spinning. The craftsmen share their skills with visitors, and occasionally offer them a chance to try them out. The little spice shop within the village offers a range of dried herbs, handmade soaps and plenty of souvenirs to collect.
