Visit the famous French Sun King's residence at the Palace of Versailles, located about 45 minutes by train from central Paris. Save time and get priority access to this popular attraction. Make your own way to Versailles on the RER train Line C to Versailles Château Rive Gauche station, where you will meet your guide at the office easily located across the street.

The tour guide was good but I’m afraid for the amount of waiting around , overcrowding and poor organisation by the venue it really wasn’t that good an experience . Lots of pushing and shoving . Kids getting in the way and people with young children in pushchairs . Also the joining instructions a very vague . Bettor of watching a documentary and buying a book and looking at the pics

I found going to Versailles was a wonderful break from the city and a pleasant town to walk-through. We had a bit of trouble finding the tour office, but our tour guide was informed and very pleasant. The venue was very busy with most of the rooms jammed with tourist, but still worth the inconvenience.. The perspective of French history and the grandeur of the building itself is hard to describe. We took the train out there, which was fun and spent time in the gardens walking around. I would put this on the Paris agenda. It does take a good portion of a day to get to Versailles and enjoy it, but well worth the time.

Absolutely fantastic place! Allow a few hours to wander the gardens....you won't want to miss them. We took a guided tour of Monet's house and gardens then went to Versailles in the afternoon with the tour. Monet's gardens are sublime (house is cute, too) and taking guided tour of Versailles gets you in faster and you see rooms not seen by general public. It is crowded, but worth shuffling along in some of the bottlenecked areas.
