One of the food stops was quite interesting. Guide spent far too much time pushing various shops to go buy stuff from.

Ash is a practiced guide who gave us a great deal of information. We had food at 4 locations. Be aware that there is a lot of walking which we found more difficult because we are unaccustomed to the heat and humidity.

Really an unexpected and educational tour well beyond just experiencing different foods. Our guide gave great insights into the daily life of Singaporeans and those thoughts and ideas still linger with me as I think back on this trip. Of course the foods we tried were outstanding but I think meeting learning first hand, with people from other cultures, is one of the best ways to gain a new perspective and this tour did an outstanding job of that.

we really enjoyed the whole experience with our guide Swee Lin, she met us at the hotel lobby and i explained my wife has difficulty walking and standing due to health issues Swee Lin suggested getting taxi's instead of using public transport which was a great solution. She took us to chinatown 1st and explained the history of the area which as someone who loves history was facinating and informative . Swee Lins knowledge of Singapore was very impressive and Swee has a wicked sense of humour which coming from Liverpool we appreciated so much. Then she hailed our next taxi and it was off to little India and again Swee Lin explained of how this district was formed and again so much information she gave us and just like chinatown the food she picked was really good, very tasty and a real flavour of what the locals eat daily. Then another taxi to the muslim district stopping outside a fabulous Mosque which Swee Lin explianed was designed by an Irishman. The last food tasting was again authentic and very tasty , we had a stuffed pancake martabak which was so tasty. We parted with Swee Lin at the end of our tour and as we only had 1 day to explore we chose this to give us a cultural understanding and also about the foods the local people eat in their daily lives and on both Swee Lin delivered. Thank you Swee Lin for our time with you it was a great experiance Stephen @ Pauline X

A private food and culture tour with Ash is an energetic, fun-filled, romp through the ins-and-outs, the sights and sounds, the tasty and intriguing that makes Singapore so cosmopolitan and amazing. She is deeply knowledgeable, engaging and willing to adjust as needed to your interests and preferences. This exploration of neighborhoods provides an opportunity to explore the food, culture and history that makes Singapore what it is today.
