The shell-shaped monument is becoming a real gem of a Doha landmark. The place is rich in history, as a monument to human freedom was demolished in 2011 in the square where the monument is located.

There is no better place in all of Qatar to get a glimpse of the city of Doha and take photos of the houses, buildings and landmarks. It's also a great place to see the coast and the sea. The old Amiri Palace was the senior residence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Qasim Al Thani, Sheikh of Qatar (1880-1957). The design of the palace did not follow a single overarching plan, but was supplemented over time. The photos next to this palace cannot be confused with anything else.
