But Souq Waqif is not just limited to the market stalls. Our guide will show you the best restaurants in Qatar, an art center and a craft center.

You can also buy some local beauty products. Many of the region’s traditional fragrances and cosmetics can be found at the Souq. As a local temporary souvenir for yourself, get fresh henna tattoo applied by an onsite artist.

The Tour Guide never showed up for this tour so i never got to experience it! They kept me waiting for over an hour before anyone responded to my frantic calls and messages. I only had one night in Doha and my evening was ruined. I had provided all the correct details and everything was updated on the La Vacanza Travel system. It was very disappointing experience. I eventually did my own tour.

I booked this tour on November 19 2022, through La Vacanza Travel for December the 2nd. I have been in touch with them several times regarding times and my pick up area. They said the tour guide would be in touch to discuss the tour. I only had one night in Doha and planned to do this tour at 7pm as arranged with them. They provided me a number for the tour guide. The tour guide never made contact. Every time I called the number it went to a voice message. Needless to say the tour guide never arrived and the hotel concierge at the Ritz Carlton Sharq Village tried several times to get hold of them without any luck. Eventually after 2 hours did some one call and say the were trying to get to the hotel but stuck in traffic and thought the tour was for a different date. It was a 4 hour tour from 7 to 11pm but they were not even able to get to the hotel by 9pm. I ended up going to the market by myself but was very disappointed as I really wanted to get a feel for it from a local.
