Abed Was a fantastic guide! The tour to education city was terrific. Time spent at the museum of modern art and included tour was very worthwhile. The equestrian facility was fantastic and the library is a must see! The children’s hospital and sculptures along the roadway are not to be missed. Education City is a unique experience! What a great way to group educational venues.

It was a perfect tour. Ahmed was super informative, and he spoke excellent English, so his communication was excellent. He also had the correct dose of humour. So, it was a pleasant journey, and Ahmed was super.

The whole concept is pretty rad – all these big-shot universities in one spot? Genius move. And the campus vibes? On point. But there's a bit of a hiccup. Parking. Trying to find a decent parking spot feels like you're in some twisted reality show challenge. I mean, you're there to expand your mind, not your patience, right? So be prepared for a scavenger hunt every time you roll in.

The Emiir's mother Sheikha Moza bint Nasser is the co-founder, and chairperson of the Qatar foundation, and as such "drives" this tour, but Shariff was our guide for the day. Shariff is a pleasant, disarming fellow, and all his connections prove handy for getting you the insider look at all the cultural endeavors Education City has to offer; his explanations both informative and interesting. Our focus was in architecture and culture of Qatar, and Shariff tailored the tour to make it fascinating for us. We particularly enjoyed Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, the Arabian horse stables and stadium, Oxygen Park, the Education City Mosque within the Minaretein building; shaped like a giant stingray, and the Qatar National Library with its modern shelving, and ancient Islamic texts. Here Shariff gave me a better understanding of Islam than I'd been able to acquire with weeks of preparation on the internet. This was an excellent educational experience for both mom and teen boy.
