The Al Thakira mangroves are a natural wonder that should be experienced. Experience a wide variety of wildlife, including flamingos on their annual migration. Discover the mangrove forest's natural background and the part it plays in the wetlands' ecosystem.

Our traditional Arabic camp on the shores of Purple Island is equipped with some modern conveniences including running water, showers, and separate restrooms for men and women. Relax with a barbecue supper next to our beach bbq after enjoying the scenery with a cup of karak tea from our viewing deck.

• ⚠️We operate our mangrove experience in shallow water, relying on tide levels to access the channels. During Super High Tide or High Tide, you can explore the mangrove channels extensively. However, during Medium to Low Tide, kayak access may not be possible. In such cases, we conduct the tour in shallower waters near Purple Island, with a possible walk to reach the kayaks. Check the tide level in the Alkhor area or consult our team for the best high tide timings.
• We offer BBQ meals as an optional choice, sourced from third-party catering. They deliver the meals to our campsite in ready-to-eat boxes for your convenience.
• We're excited to welcome you to our mangrove experience! Here's a breakdown of our daily schedule: - Morning: 8 am - 10 am - Morning: 10 am - 12 pm - Afternoon: 12 pm - 2 pm - Sunset: 3 pm - 5 pm
• This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
