Itinerary

  • Arrival - Leh Airport

    Welcome to Leh, Ladakh. On arrival airport meet your waiting driver for a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing, it is important for you to get accustomed to the climate and conditions of Ladakh due the the high altitude, later in the evening visit Leh Market and Shanti Stupa. Overnight at your hotel.

  • Leh (Full Day Excursions)

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before you start your full day excursion to visit 'The Hall of Fame', a museum constructed and maintained by Indian Army in the memory of the fallen soldiers followed by a visit to Gurdwara Shri Pathar Sahib located on Srinagar-Leh Road, this was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak to the region, the founder Guru of the Sikhism faith.

    Later embark on a beautiful drive to famous Magnetic Hill and further through picturesque landscapes to see confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, you will also visit Basgo, a historical town on the bank of the river Indus once an important cultural and political centre and even today famous for its gompas such as Basgo Monastery and historical ruins. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Leh - Pangong Lake ( Stay in a Camp )

    Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel and start your drive in a comfortable vehicle ( Approx 6 Hours ) to Pangong Lake or Pangong Tso, a 134 kms long lake extending from India to China and situated at a height of approx 4350 mts in The Himalayas. Most of your drive will be through rough but dramatically scenic mountain road.  Enroute to Pangong Tso you will also visit Shey Palace and Thikse Monastery besides various other photo-stops to capture the stunning scenery, beauty and allure of the region. Overnight stay at a campsite near Pangong Lake.

  • Pangong Lake - Khardung La - Leh

    After a hearty breakfast at your camp, spend some time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and surroundings of lake Pangong before starting your journey in a comfortable vehicle to see the Khardung La pass at 5602 mts (18,379ft) which is claimed to be the world’s highest motorable road. Enjoy the view from the top of the pass before you return to your hotel in Leh for an overnight stay.

  • Leh - Departure

    Enjoy breakfast at hotel before you meet your driver for your departure transfer to the airport on time for your return flight.

Why Day-01 of Ladakh holiday package is without any activity?

A.

Leh and most other places in the region of Ladakh are located on a very high altitude for a visitor travelling from any part of India, after your arrival in Leh specially by flight you might experience little dizziness, headache or even acute mountain sickness (AMS). It is important to acclimatize to the conditions of the region. This is the reason why day one of your trip is usually kept free to take rest. Most activities start from evening of day one or morning of day two.

Can we do a same days visit to Nubra valley?

A.

Practically it is not possible to do a same day trip to Nubra Valley and return to your hotel in Leh. Starting from Leh while travelling to Nubra Valley you cross Khardung La pass at 5602 mts (18,379ft) which is also claimed to be the world’s highest motorable road. If you wish to return same day to Leh you will be passing Khardung La pass twice which is not a very good idea. At the same time it is highly recommended to stay in Nubra Valley for its outstanding natural beauty and stunning views.

Can you go to Pangong Tso lake and come back in the same day?

A.

To visit Pangong Tso or Pangong lake you travel via Chang la, the third highest motorable pass in the world. The beauty of lake and its surroundings are unparallel to any other natural landmarks in the world. Also there are many important attractions, villages and place to visit on the way to Pangong lake from Leh. It is also highly recommendable to stay overnight in a camp to enjoy the sunset and the clear sky views at night, however for any reason you must make it back to Leh on the same day, we can organise a same day trip to Pangong Tso or Pangong lake.

Can we travel from Leh to Srinagar or vice versa?

A.

Road between Srinagar and Leh is good. If you wish to visit best of the Indian state of 'Jammu & Kashmir' and see places in Kashmir Valley like Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and top places in Ladakh region like Leh, Kargil, Nubra Valley and Pangong lake you can fly to Srinagar drive to Leh via Kargil and take a return flight from Leh.
